Some Details Have Emerged For The Beta
According to Comcast’s Mark Cruz the Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Beta will be available to the general public in August of this year. The game will be launched fully on October the 12th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
These details came from a press release from Comcast after they announced that fans can register for a sweepstakes-like opportunity to be invited to Comcast’s Xfinity Store to play the game, beginning in July. The promotion will take place in Washington, Boston, Philadelphia, Houston, Seattle, Chicago, Indianapolis and Atlanta over the coming months. Registration has opened today and the lucky winners will be allowed to take one friend with them to one of the special events starting in mid-July. You do not need to be an Xfinity member to register so if you live near one of the locations it will be your chance to get some early hands-on gameplay.
“This year, Xfinity has elevated the consumer experience by offering Call of Duty fans a chance to play Black Ops 4 through the Xfinity store sweepstakes before its official release on October 12,” said Tyler Michaud, Vice President, Product Management at Activision. “Gamers will get a sneak peek at the engaging gameplay and depth of content that makes Black Ops 4 a blast to play together with your friends, and we thank Xfinity for the continued support in celebrating gamers throughout the U.S.”
The press release also confirmed that again this year all Xfinity customers will get free access to the Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Beta even if they have not pre-ordered the game.
Xfinity and Activision made the announcement at the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, CA. This marks the second straight year Xfinity has partnered with Activision to provide its Internet customers with early access to one of the world’s all-time best-selling video game franchises. As part of the company’s program with Activision, Xfinity will again offer access to the Multiplayer Beta for Xfinity Internet customers and the company plans to release more details later this summer.
