Here Is Everything You Need To Know
Treyarch and Activision just revealed the 2018 Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 to the world which is due to be released on October 12 a month earlier than normal and will be avaliable on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. There have been some pretty big changes made to the Call Of Duty game for this year and one of the first things to realize is that there will be no campaign in Black Ops 4. The game, however, will have the traditional multiplayer mode, multiple zombie maps and an all-new battle royale mode called Blackout which is a first for the Call Of Duty franchise.
The game is set to be in the era between Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 3 so is set in the near future. It has some futuristic weapons and equipment but many will be happy to know it has no boost jumping, no wall running and is 100% boots on the ground.
One of the first things to notice about multiplayer is that it is only 5v5 instead of the usual 6v6 and the maps will be slightly smaller to accommodate the lower number.
One of the big changes to come to the game as well is your health will no longer regenerate itself and you spawn in with 150 health and will need to manage your health levels yourself and start the healing process yourself.
The Pick 10 system from Black Ops 3 is back to allow you to better prepare yourself for the game. You can select primary weapons, attachments, secondary weapons, equipment, gear (more below), perks, and wildcards, as long as there are only 10 items.
The new category called Gear is there primarily because of the new healing system with new features and set of items to pick from for players. You can select from different items in the Gear category – like body armor (which will slightly increase amount of protection against first shots that hit you), stem pack (which allows faster and more often health regeneration compared to normal), acoustic sensor to better hear and see around you, and other options to pick from.
The weapons will feature a new modding system, and a whole new class of mod that will change the way weapons operate and reward players who invest time learning a particular weapon. Each weapon will have there own set of attachments that are not shared amongst the classes. They will also for the first time have a predictive recoil pattern that as you get used to the particular weapon you will learn the precise recoil pattern of that weapon and how to control it.
A new minimap has been revealed as well with what they are calling the Fog Of War. On the minimap, it will only reveal a radius around you and other players on your team where you can see the opposing team. As you would expect though if an enemy fires their weapon then they will become visible on the minimap to all unless it is suppressed. UAV’s and Counter UAV’s will function as you normally expect them to.
Specialists are back and in the reveal event with a total of eight revealed so far and they are,
Weapons and equipment are unique to each, so combining Specialists based on a style of play and game mode adds a new level of strategy and team creativity. It must be noted as well that there can only be one of each Specialist in a multiplayer team and once someone chooses one it is no longer available for you to select.
Black Ops 4 will be marking the 10-year anniversary of the Call Of Duty Zombie experience and will have the biggest offering of any game at launch. There will be the beginning of a whole new storyline and characters in Black Ops 4 Zombies and the game will launch with three zombie experiences straight away,
Voyage of Despair is set aboard the RMS Titanic, an iconic and monumental setting where our four protagonists discover the truth that befell the doomed passengers on that fateful night.
Set in ancient Rome, IX thrusts our four protagonists into a coliseum where ritual sacrifices may be required.
Expanding on the fan-favorite Mob of the Dead, the third map Blood of the Dead features the Origins characters from the previous Zombies storyline visiting the purgatory dimension of Alcatraz.
You will also have a large amount of customization in zombies allowing you to change the fundamental rules and systems of the Zombies gameplay. You will be able to create custom games and modes so you can set the challenges and difficulty to your experience.
For the first time ever Call of Duty will have a Battle Royale game mode. Blackout will be a huge map that is 1500 larger than Nuketown and will feature ten years of Black Ops weapons, characters, maps (Nuketown and Firing Range have been confirmed) and even vehicles as well that will cover land, air, and sea. It will also include the zombie’s casts and there weapons and gear.
This is the official description of Blackout,
In Blackout, Black Ops comes to life in one massive battle royale experience, combining Black Ops signature combat and the biggest map in Call of Duty history. Play as fan favorite characters and battle through iconic settings from the Black Ops universe. It’s a collision course bringing together the worlds of Black Ops in an all-out survival and elimination experience featuring weapons; equipment; land, sea, and air vehicles; RC-XDs; traps; and even Zombies in an experience that is uniquely Black Ops.
Treyarch has pushed Black Ops 4 to have the biggest PC development team in the Black Ops series and will be fully optimized to take full advantage of today’s PC systems. It will feature an uncapped frame-rate, 4k resolution and HDR, and support for ultra-wide monitors.
Black Ops 4 will be the first Call Of Duty game as well to have a partnership with Blizzard which will allow the game to have access to the Battle.net online platform.
It was also confirmed that there will be a beta for Black Ops 4 and it is guaranteed to last at least three days but as of yet, no more information has been released around when it will be available.
It is looking like 2018 and is going to be an amazing year for Call Of Duty and with all the big changes to the game threw either mechanics or new game modes is sure looks like it will be stacking up to hit the gaming arena hard.
